Guest speakers at Workbench

Chris Lefteri
Materials Expert, Author, Consultant, Speaker and Industrial Designer. Recognized throughout the world as a leading authority on materials and their application in design, Chris Lefteri is one of the most instrumental materials experts working in his field. For over a decade his studio work and publications have been pivotal in the way designers and the materials industry consider materials. In 2001 he published the first of eight books on materials and the application in design, which have been translated into six languages. These books have led the change in the way designers view and use materials.


May Fawzy
May Fawzy is an award-winning Interior Architect, founder of MF Design Studio, and a leading voice in sustainable and human-centric design. A former President of the British Institute of Interior Design, she currently serves as a Board Director for the European Council of Interior Architects (ECIA). As a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) certified by the International WELL Building Institute, May brings a deep commitment to health and well-being in the built environment—advocating for spaces that support both physical and mental wellness. Her work is known for pushing the boundaries of workplace design while championing sustainability and diversity in the industry.
