geo desk overview
Geo is a robust co-working desk system with an industrial aesthetic that compliments contemporary interiors and provides the user with a flexible fully integrated workspace.
Geo is designed to provide a multi-user desking system that allows full technology integration. Geo has been detailed with circular design and the Workbench waste hierarchy policy front and centre. Environmentally technology is one of the most difficult requirements to sustainably integrate into a product as it changes rapidly. We are not able to stop these rapid advances so when designing Geo Workbench embraced this and can upgrade the desk as new technology is introduced.
features & finishes
Geo is based on a simple steel framework that can accommodate multiple layouts with the ability to house as much cabling and IT as required. The raw steel frames have a clear powder-coat finish. Desk tops are faced in lino with an exposed plywood edge. A range of cable management options can be provided including cable hatches with power/data modules, proprietary surface mounted modules or cable grommets. Optional screens and storage pedestals complete the range.
The Geo desk has been designed using standard fixings and independent parts. If technology changes or Geo needs to adapt it can be altered on a part by part basis rather than having to replace the whole product. This dramatically increases the length of service for the user.
At Workbench we calculate our carbon footprint for scope 1, 2 & full scope 3. All our products are designed to meet our waste hierarchy policy of reduce, reuse, repurpose & recycle. Workbench is in a unique position to be able to design for reuse at the start of a products life and Geo encapsulates this.
Working with Oktra, Workbench designed and manufactured 740 Geo desks for a large co-working space for this London based multimedia entertainment business. This spectacular industrial interior required a robust desk system that embraced the aesthetic of the building whist providing an ergonomic solution that provided state of the art technology integration. Workbench provided samples, renders and working drawings allowing the client and designers to arrive at carefully tailored solution, this included desk frames in raw steel with a clear powder-coat, and plywood edged desk tops faced in black lino, perfectly complimenting the look and feel of the building.
