An American investment firm headquartered in New York City selected The Nova Building in Victoria for their London offices. A brand-new development overlooking Buckingham Palace, the project set the agenda for the firm’s forward trajectory as a state-of-the-art destination for the future of work.
The brief was to create an environment to meet the company’s high end, yet understated profile. Workbench worked with the Maris interiors team to provides the client facing meeting room suites of furniture, with a pallet of Fenix laminate and natural stone.
The furniture was developed to accommodate the power and data requirements of the client in the form of power drawers mounted to the underside of the table surface creating neat and functional access.
These exceptional stone tables were more than just a testament to the collaboration of the Maris and Workbench design teams - they were a celebration of the unparalleled skill within the British stone masonry industry, as working with stone is a complex and technically demanding process. The natural calacatta stone used on this project created a unique meeting suite with beautiful final aesthetic.
Maris quote "Drawing inspiration from the design elements of their New York headquarters, the London office carves its own identity, open-plan workspaces take centre stage supporting community and culture."
An agile business that’s fast paced and has a longstanding history of responding to market changes, it’s fitting that they are moving to an equally dynamic property. For the interior fit-out we wanted to continue and expand upon that sense of forward motion whilst reflecting the team’s global reputation for professional excellence.
Recognising the company’s high-end yet understated profile, the design maintains a sense of understated luxury, respecting the balance between opulence and subtlety.
