Three years ago, in response to growing demand for a truly versatile meeting table - free from the constraints of fixed power supplies, unsightly floor boxes, and cumbersome cabling - the Air Atoll was born.
Designed by the Workbench team, the Air Atoll is a pioneering flip-top, battery-powered, mobile linking table built around the Animate lithium battery system by Office Electrics. Engineered to power laptops, mobile phones, and other devices for hours at a time, it delivers complete flexibility without the need for a mains connection. As the first table of its kind, Air Atoll set a new benchmark for contemporary meeting spaces.
From the outset, versatility was central to the design. Air Atoll can be used as a standalone table or linked seamlessly to create larger collaborative environments. A carefully curated range of finishes - including laminate, Fenix and veneer - combined with high-quality British manufacture has seen the product regularly specified for executive boardrooms and premium meeting spaces.
To complement the system, a dedicated mobile charging cart was developed, ensuring a continuous supply of fully charged batteries that can be exchanged quickly and effortlessly as required.
Today, Air Atoll remains the market leader in its category. Continuous refinement, driven by valuable feedback from countless installations, has transformed an innovative concept into a true design classic. Recent enhancements include a revised battery orientation to optimise power delivery, the introduction of optional folding or demountable modesty panels, and streamlined power distribution to the table edge through fully integrated cabling. Discreetly mounted twin USB-C charging points or OE Piton power outlets now come as standard. In addition, a new double-column frame configuration supports table tops up to 3000mm x 1500mm, further expanding the table’s capabilities.
These developments ensure that the latest generation of Air Atoll remains dependable, sophisticated and exceptionally versatile. Frequently imitated but never equalled, Air Atoll has become the benchmark against which all battery-powered meeting tables are measured - a trusted choice for specifiers and a mainstay for discerning facilities managers.
